Plugin to skip bad frames?

MessageAuthor

Don't know about fixing the code but if you know where it fails then just delete that section of the movie. Make sure you get at least 10-15 frames before and after the error so you delete the whole GOP. Then before encoding again use vdub preview to see if you can process over the section. It's something I've run into a lot with my HDTV caps since they often have momentary glitches in reception that will make a bad MPEG2 stream somewhere. The big trick was training myself to write down which frame it was on before hitting enter to clear the silly error window. - Tom

I'm not doing any overcooking on my system, I've encoded movies before and just finished another one the other day without any problems...it's definitely a source problem from the dvd. I'll try to cut out more of the movie and see if it was pass the dreaded 59th frame this time haha.

I just stumbled on this site. There is a VirtualDub plugin to skip dropped frames.
