simple OSC hardware button ?

MessageAuthor

If you say OSC together with battery powered you supposedly mean to be connected via WLAN. Correct ? I don't suppose that such a thing exists, even though it would be rather easy to build e.g using a "PICO W" board. But you also can do wireless Midi (e.g. using Bluetooth). I remember discussions in this forum pointing out hardware for this. -Michael

RE: simple OSC hardware button ?

yes I was thinking a button connected on wifi would be best and ideally sending OSC... I thought about building something with a small Rasperri Pi although its likely to get a bit big once you add a battery, enclosure and a button.. its still not a bad option but I would also need code to convert the button to OSC and I'm not skilled enough to program it myself.. would you know how to code this ? or do you know of anything similar that already exists which i might be able to adapt ?

I suppose code for this (using a really small and low power some $10 PICO W - which is a rather new design - or a similar Arduino board) should be findable in the Net. I already did see code for the PICO (non "W") for some 10 buttons and Midi over USB. -Michael
