Thanks Pigeon. I see there's plenty of this cable on ebay. Regarding the set on my car at present, four leads measure roughly 7.5K ohms and two are virtually open circuit but it still fires on all six cylinders but I haven't looked at the individual sparks. If I make my own cables up I can use the old connectors at the distributor end but, forgive me my ignorance, can I use any standard cap for the plugs or do they have to have a resistor? I am also going to replace the plugs at the same time (NGK BP7ES Bosch equivalent W5DC). Thanks a lot, Simon
