@kronik 1.) You can set a crosspoint value of 460 for 2CD rips, and a crosspoint value of 280 for 1CD rips, then hit the "Calc." button and use the curve compression ratio Nandub spits out. 2.) You can try changing the crosspoint value (lower or higher according to your needs) until you reach the curve compression ratio you want to use. regards, iago
@kronik What's your target video and audio size? What's the Aspect Ratio of the movie(1:2.35? 1:1.85? 1:1.33, etc.), and what resolution/resizing method are you using?
@kronik You can cap Key Frame DRF values as 2/4 and for a 2CD rip you can use at least BicubicResize(640,272,0,0.5) instead of Bilinear. As for the curve compression you can even use "0" IMHO ;). regards, iago
i thought bicubic resizing is for going larger then the original. do u know if u can change it to bicubic after the first pass or does the stats file do something with resizing...thanks again kronik
do u have an example of a script (avs) file? i use the resizing in nandub and load my d2v file, but i'm down with using a script...i noticed u put something like 640, 272, 10, 10...would that be width, height, crop top, crop bottom? and if so, are the crop numbers the same as nandubs? what else do i need in the script? thanks KroniK

@kronik Man, I really would like to help you more, but it's really impossible for me to summarize "everything" which are/were discussed in many different threads and some basic concepts that are explained in many guides around. Please try to read and search for information more. Good luck with your encodes! iago :)
seems fair :) sorry if i was asking too many questions, thanks for your help anyway. i've decided it's time to move onto xvid and leave behind the ancient stuff hehe.
@kronik I think you have made the best decision by switching to XviD! Though, I must admit that Nandub SBC still doesn't seem ancient to me ;). regards, iago
